The LNG facility was recently inaugurated by Shri D.S. Nanawane – Director (Pipelines) IOCL in presence of officials from Salem Steel Plant and other stake holders. The LNG Facility consisting of 2 x 113 KL LNG Tanks, Regas system capacity of 5000 SCMH @ 22 Bar pressure with associated equipment was supplied by INOXCVA on a turnkey basis in a record time. INOXCVA has also been entrusted to operate & maintain the LNG facility for a period of 5 years. The facility will feed the steel pipeline network of IOCL’s Salem CGD and provide clean and cost effective PNG to several households and nearby industries as well as CNG for vehicular application. Successful operation of this facility paves way for similar model of Natural Gas distribution in the Southern part of India where natural gas truck pipelines do not exist  due to the adverse terrains and  other local challenges.
